Publisher's Synopsis
A new twist on the classic treasure hunt, this fast-paced trilogy races through Egypt's deserts, unearths hidden cities with mysterious inhabitants and traverses the secret passageways of buried pyramids.
In book one, "The Desert Sands," our hero, sixteen-year-old Wells Worthy, learns of his family's generational treasure hunt and the dire consequences of clashing with unknown forces of great power. For Wells and his family, Americans living in Cairo, Egypt during the 2011 uprising known as the Arab Spring, there is an added element of conflict resulting from the country's ongoing instability.
Wells' life is forever changed the day he buys an antique brass tube containing an ancient and highly sought after treasure map. Wells' possession of the map puts him and his family in grave danger. Only with the intervention of a mysterious benefactor do they avoid becoming collateral in a covert operation and a world he didn't even know existed.
The adventure continues in book two, "The Hidden City."
