The dark elven archmage, Raer'dreth, has unleashed the walking dead upon Alian'tir and sent his black ships to their shores, yet heroes have risen. The nations of Tsir'illia and Branthian, now allies, work to prepare for the coming war, but new evils have arisen to test them both.
Silverlord Alant Lansir and Syn'ella, faerie warrior, travel to Lorant to seek allies while Falgrim, Anatarn, and the elven healer Eliyan fight to repel the dead coming out of the Endless wastes. King Albron of Lorant falls deeper into madness, and Queen Tolandra of Tsir'illia fights for her life against a risen Samor Cah, yet the day is not lost.
