Along with fellow Pendant-holders Crawf, Redgi, and Mreggil, they resolve to employ the magic of the Amulet and the four Pendants to help as many people as they can. Their goal: to combine fairness, efficiency, and effectiveness to the best of their ability. When an epidemic breaks out and sweeps across the lands, it tests the limits of their magical skills-and their patience and diplomacy. Complicating matters even further, the goblins whom the Dark Warrior displaced and then abandoned still roam the countryside and are growing increasingly restless-and aggressive.
