It is perhaps unnecessary to state that the Scripture proofs which are cited, are designed merely as suggestive examples, to be supplemented by the reader, from the abun dant resources of the sacred volume. Should they, in any case, appear at first sight irrelevant, the solution will pro bably be found by reference to what is implied, rather than expressly stated in them.
With earnest prayers for the welfare of the beloved youth, for whom this labor is especially designed, the author with deference submits it to his brethren.
