Rossi, each volume with an introduction by Clement Shorter, elaborate 'By Appointment...' heraldic pastedowns printed in red and black, and illustrated advertisements, slight spotting on initial and final pages, with one volume with spotting to fore-edge of text block, pp. [ii], 139, [iii, ads]; [ii], 147, [iii, ads], ii], 144, [ii, ads]; [ii], 160, [ii, ads]; [ii], 140, [ii, ads], 8vo, publisher's scarlet, blue, russet, sage green and leaf green cloth, with decorative black-stamped border and central medallion with 'Bubbles' illustration of the Pears' cherubic boy, front boards and backstrips lettered in gilt, boards with a few slight marks, and a couple of corners rubbed, but overall a bright set, very good
