We have preserved the general style of the former Volume; designating the Prayers added by the Editor by a star, and assigning the Sermons in the Index to the consecutive Sundays of the first half of the Year. It should not be forgotten, however, that this arrangement is in no degree based on the character of the discourses themselves; nor should it be allowed to prevent a de parture from that order, whenever bereavement, misfor tune, or other occurrences shall make such a departure desirable.
