This present work on the Baay Faal of Senegal written by a Baay Faal is the expression of a spirituality coming from the interior well defined by Sheikh Mountakha Mbacke, "To know Sheikh Ahmadu Bamba, it is imperative to engage in the path of God. Committing to the path of God consists first of all of turning one's back on this world of illusion and wanting nothing from it. We need to know that we were sent to earth to worship God and nothing else. To worship God, we must obey divine prescriptions and abstain from divine proscriptions by doing our best for the love of God. We must then know what God wants for us and what He does not want for us. There are many things that I could say and that I know, but each time we speak, it must be beneficial for those who listen to it. Among those who listen, there are the initiated and the uninitiated. When the uninitiated hear my words, they will say that these words are those of a foolish person and when the initiated, they will say that these words are those of a heretic. However, whatever we say, the one who turns his back on this world of illusion is the one who knows Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba best." Whatever one says, the Baay Faal is the humble disciple who follows the recommendations of his spiritual guide, who abstains from divine proscriptions, and who sees nothing else outside his guide, in the same way, as Sheikh Ibrahima Faal had behaved towards Sheikh Ahmadu Bamba. It is for this purpose that Seriñ Sheikh Faal Baayub Goor said, "No one serves a better saint than the one whom the Baay Faals serve. No one does what is nobler than what the Baay Faals do. No one is more worthy than the Baay Faals."
This book will undoubtedly be the flagship book that will dissipate all the gray areas around the Baye Falls of Senegal, which today do not have spiritual legitimacy in the academic field. For the very first time, a book that is based on the Holy Quran, the writings of Sheikh Ahmadu Bamba, and the rich literature of Wolof expression (Wolofal), as well as classics of Sufi literature to answer all the equations that people arise on many aspects of the way of life of Sheikh Ibrahima FaAl and his disciples.
