Since I was a child (many years ago), I have been taught by all the so-called authorities (Doctors, News organizations reporting on experts, other "authorities" on TV and radio broadcasts, healthy lifestyle magazines, weight loss professionals, my parents, food industry experts, health professionals, etc., etc., ) that gaining too much weight was caused by eating too many sweets and fatty foods. These experts were partially correct. I don't blame them for espousing fractional knowledge. They didn't know any better.
