Publisher's Synopsis
In 1968, a five-year-old named Jeremy is both a minister's kid and able to read people's minds. He calls his gift "feeling people's heads," but his parents fear the voices he hears means he's schizophrenic. They get a fast track appointment with child psychiatrist Dr. Rebovitz who figures out in 15 minutes that Jeremy's gift isn't psychosis, but will cause him heartache for the rest of his life. After dictating the chart, Dr. R hands off the tape to his secretary Velma who cannot believe her ears. She rats out Jeremy to her gambling husband who trades the boy to pay off a loan shark. At that point, The Chase Is On!
