Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Chaplain, Vol. 29: A Journal for Chaplains Serving the Armed Forces, Veterans Administration and Civil Air Patrol; Winter Quarter, 1972
For the National Jewish Welfare Board, Rabbi A. Elihu Michelson.
We wish earnestly to make the chaplain a more fully professional journal, one which can treat adequately the technical, Operational aspects of the chaplaincy and also re?ect more broadly on its place in American religious life. We view our magazine not primarily as the organ of a Protestant agency, but as a forum for all who have atheart the best interests of Church, Synagogue, Chaplaincy, and Nation.
