Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Causes, Nature, and Treatment of Scurvy: A Paper Read Before the Covington and Newport (Ky., ) Medical Society
I have adduced these facts out of the many recorded, solely with a view of finding a clue to the etiology of the disease. I think they are sufficiently varied as to time, place and circum stance, to enable us to form some logical conclusion as to this matter. If we can find some hygienic conditions common to them all, we shall not err much in admitting these to be the essential causes of Scurvy.
