Publisher's Synopsis

Is this the end of Darwinism?

The mystery of evolution is not a matter of conjecture; there are guidelines that must be followed if a theory of evolution applies to life on planet Earth. This book sets out what these guidelines are and the rationale behind them. Darwin's conjecture about evolution does not meet any of these guidelines and, therefore, is not a proper theory of evolution. Its 'correctness' is not a matter of debate because it does not even qualify as a proper theory.

This book challenges the Royal Society to defend its 2017 endorsement of Darwin's conjecture that natural selection (acting on random genetic mutations) is the cause of adaptive evolution. If Darwinism cannot meet this challenge, then it is finished. It must be replaced by a theory of cognitive adaptation.

It is contended that the ONLY form that a proper theory of the evolution of life on planet Earth can assume is one of cognitive adaptation.
