Publisher's Synopsis

This book is the first attempt to cover all the butterfly varieties in Pakistan, with every species illustrated by the author. The illustrations include underwing pattern, and where applicable, both male and female forms. These are supplemented by a series of introductory chapters explaining the biology and geographic distribution, as well as present knowledge of the behaviour, sensory faculties and defences against predators of each species. The book contains a gazetteer, extensive bibliography and a glossary of technical terms.
