When the fiftieth season of the Boston Symphony Orches tra shall have been rounded out, perhaps, again, this may come to pass, and the full aesthetic significance of fifty com pleted years of musical achievement may be set forth by a critic qualified to deal with the total phenomenon., For the present, while the fiftieth season of uninterrupted concerts is nearing its end, it has seemed well to the Trustees Of the Orchestra to place before the public an extension of the original work of editor and annalist, carrying the story on from 1914 to the present time.
