"I seek The Book of Souls, which was stolen from the Almighty when its Keeper fell to earth. I know the thief is imprisoned here," the angel said.
"You are too late. The Enemy, Satan, used a mortal boy to steal it from this fallen one you speak of."
"But how?" The young angel asked in a voice faint with disbelief. "No human or fallen angel can enter this place, then leave it voluntarily. The book should've been safe."

The angel knew the celestial being spoke the truth. However, in the hands of The Enemy, 'The Book of Souls, ' which promised life, would be turned into a book of death, an abomination.

Sixteen year old Maya Stewart, has been troubled by strange dreams and an awareness of supernatural beings since her brother, Jack, was snatched when he was five, and she was seven. Now in her teens, Maya's encounters with demons once again increase, but help appears in the form of a teenage boy called Leo. However, is Leo everything Maya wishes him to be, or is he hiding something more sinister? With unusual things happening in her Norfolk village and amongst her friends, Maya learns to hope that her brother is still alive. Can she find Jack and can she deal with her apparently hopeless love for Leo, while stuck in the middle of an unimaginable war.
