Publisher's Synopsis
Jack is making a book about his namesake, Jack and the famous bean-stalk. The only trouble is, our Jack is only human and the book goes through rather alot before it is completed-the baby throws breakfast at it, Jack closes the pages before the artwork is dry, the mice get at it and then a spider gets trapped between the pages, not to mention the cat walking over it with muddy paws. All these mishaps are faithfully reproduced here in a novelty format which includes, scratch and sniff, fold out, holes and rips to make the reader feel they are experienced the real book that Jack made.
