In the Gentleman's Magazine for 1796, vol. LXVI. P. 913, is an engraving of a carving some what similar (except that it is in wood) on a chim ney-piece in the great parlour of the Tankard ale. House in St. Stephen's parish at Ipswich, formerly the mansion of Sir Anthony Wingfield, K. G. Privy counsellor, and one of the executors to King Henry VIII. Part of the building has served as a play house' and the family chapel opposite thereto is succeeded by Dr. Ogwynne's house.
