Publisher's Synopsis
This title follows two trajectories, one chronological and the other thematic. The former traces the history of Quadrante from the political activism of its co-founder, Pietro Maria Bardi, through the funding of the journal, to its focus on events like the 1933 Milan Triennale, the 1934 Palazzo del Littorio competition and the 1936 completion of Giuseppe Terragni's Casa del Fascio in Como. The latter trajectory connects these earlier projects, and the discourses they provoked with Quadrante's advocacy of specific trends in engineering and urbanism.
