This personal poetic excursion explores my youth growing up in the South, working in agriculture, turning eighteen as the Vietnam draft ended & leaving home to discover the world. I hope to show my passion for nature, the inspiring & complex faces of love, along with my humorous, hopeful & poignant reflections on anxiety, depression & alcoholism.

I consider myself a narrative poet with lyrical inclinations. I hope that comes through in my observations of the natural world, of relationships & of myself.

Life is difficult. This is my conversation with the reader to consider that joy awaits us all.
