Publisher's Synopsis
For this eighth edition the guide has been divided into three sections. Part one contains preliminary material written specifically for prospective students, with advice on selecting courses and schools, submitting applications, employers, personnel managers and headhunters.;This section is made up of a selection of articles on the objectives of management education and the growth of business school programmes. Part three makes up the bulk of the guide and is an alphabetical listing of business schools worldwide which offer top-level management courses. A main objective in compiling this reference section was to present not just a record of the schools offering MBAs but to capture as much as possible the essential characteristics of these institutions, their aims and their teaching philosophy. Many prospective students, particularly when making an overseas application, know little or nothing about the business schools and courses available. For this reason it is important in the guide to present as much information as possible: the location of a particular school, whether urban or rural; its style of operation, whether case study or quantitative; its campus life and the alternative lifestyles available off-campus. Hopefully these questions have been answered to some degree in this edition.
