Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Apostolical Jurisdiction and Succession of the Episcopacy in the British
To Dr. Wiseman's zeal his party are indebted for arguments against our ordinations, which may lay claim to some degree of novelty, at least; and which, throwing aside the complicated and often refuted theories of his predecessors, aim at plifying the controversy, by showing that, even allowing the validity of our ordinations, and con ceding a number of points which we contend for, there are still fatal objections to the apostolical character of our ministry.
