Whilst endeavouring to guard against any in Jurlous influences, in connexion with the publica tion of the Annual Monitor, we are Sincerely desirous to avoid fastidiousness, and the discou ragement of our friends-in the free communication of what they may esteem suitable materials for our work. We consider their communications to be confidential; and we can truly say, it has always been with reluctance that we have, in any case, declined the insertion of what has been sent to us.
