Since 1893 the Altamont Fair has been keeping the age-old tradition of country fairs alive with entertaining acts, music, midways, circus & carnival acts, competition and exhibits. It serves as a place where community engagement takes place; where love is kindled; where young people learn friendship, explore the arts, pursue agrarian lifestyles, and learn how to work together with their peers. It is a place where families come together annually and enjoy the fruits of labor of many a Capital District farmer. The Altamont Fair is the only Tri-County Fair in New York serving Albany, Schenectady and Greene Counties.
