The present work is about existentialism, especially French existentialism (which is existentialism par excellence), about its main authors, its ideas, its social context and its time. It approaches the subject from a triple point of view: the historical, including the biographies of its protagonists, the philosophical, analyzing some of its main ideas, and the literary, studying some of its most important novels and plays.
Thus we will approach the main representatives, who are Sartre, Camus and Beauvoir, and other related authors, such as André Malraux and Samuel Beckett, and precisely, in order to include figures like them, we talk on this work about the age and not only about the existentialists or existentialism.
The work also addresses such powerful philosophical themes as freedom, existence, commitment, the human condition and death.
