Publisher's Synopsis
A new and comprehensive textbook which aims to provide a detailed theoretical background to the aerobiological pathway of micro-organisms. Both physical and biological laws have a direct effect on aerosol viability and infectivity, and their complex inter-relationship is discussed, providing for the first time a complete rationale for the behaviour of microbial aerosols. A special feature is the previously unpublished application of catastrophe theory to the role of relative humidity and temperature in aerosol survival.
