George had trained all his life to become a knight. He is skilled in combat and is an excellent horseman. Now that he is 18, he is setting off from his family's castle to challenge a menace that has been harassing people in the valley for as long as he can remember. Many a brave lad has made this attempt before and never returned to tell the tale. George, now Sir George, sets off on a quest that will take him through the dark wood and to the top of forbidding black mountains where the fierce dragon lives. Along the way, Sir George has nerve rattling encounters that test his courage and resolve. And he meets some creatures he would never have expected, in fact did not even know existed.
