Gepetto, the old carpenter, wished that his latest creation, Pinocchio, a beautiful wooden puppet, would be his son and become a real boy. The Blue Fairy granted his wish, but not before warning Pinocchio that in order to be a real child he must show that he is generous, obedient and sincere.
