It was thought however that the approaching crisis in our School's history would justify. The publication of its records, and so I venture to intrust to your kindness the results of my work, undertaken in the leisure of a Schoolmaster. I am sensible that another ten years' labour would still have left the work imperfect, but I hope that the interest of the present juncture will excuse its production.
