Publisher's Synopsis
With the end of summer and the beginning of the fall semester, Head Mistress Fae and the students of Praeter Academy must now deal with the onslaught of a new house in the school. Filling the halls of the academy are the invisible bodies of student specters, along with their teacher, Triton. However, there is more than meets the eye regarding this new faculty member, and his estranged sister. Family ties are strained, and cause more harm than good as a result. What is their peculiar obsession with Artimus, and why is Fae so surprisingly attracted to a ghost? Meanwhile, Raven has reached her potential and secretly plots to become the most revered witch in the universe. Her lies and deception cause everyone around her to distrust and doubt her, even more so than before. She is resilient and must suffer the consequences of her actions, much to the dismay of her own body. Throughout it all, Ali is continually tempted by his human desires. He can't help himself, and constantly finds himself in dangerous situations. Over and over again, he succumbs to helplessness, even though his hunter instincts are gaining in strength. He must learn to stand on his own two feet in the midst of a fight to prove he is finally growing up. With visions and prophecies running rampant, its no wonder that evil finds its way back onto the campus grounds. Hit on all sides, the student body and faculty are slowly being compromised. Power is misconstrued, treachery dwells among them, and all hell is breaking out. Can the Academy withstand any more attacks and still hold on to its integrity? Or is this the ultimate fight to the death for everyone?
