This multimedia, interactive Mac/Windows CD-ROM can be used for teaching and demonstrating the anatomy of the abdominal cavity and digestive tube as part of the series of 20 CD-ROMs of "The Anatomy Project". It covers the abdominal and pelvic cavities, the peritoneum, blood and lymph nerve supply of the digestive tube, the oesophagus, the stomach and the small and large intestine. It features approximately 50 minutes of movie tutorials, an interactive atlas, a searchable glossary, summaries of text with digital video review; interactive questions with remediation for wrong answers, software help, and seven selectable user levels: undergraduate, nursing, physical thwrapy, radiotherapy, dental, medical and postgraduate. The program presents specially-commissioned prosections, still and real-time medical imaging, histology and live action, with voice-over narration using classical "Nomina Anatomica" pronunciations.
