Publisher's Synopsis
Why international help didn't come from the democratic western countries in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution? What was the real international environment at that time? Which countries played a role in shaping this environment? Why it was or wasn't important to them to let this revolution fail? How can we avoid the repetition of this event? How the Hungarian Revolution further influenced the development of the country? To reflect on these questions, first I will give a historical picture from that time in Hungary and in Europe, what was the role of international "players", the main powers, the international organization and finally I will make a conclusion from my point of view.
