Publisher's Synopsis
When he receives an invitation to work for a former professor, Reeve eagerly accepts, even though it means moving to a new city. Anxious to connect with the local queer community, Reeve attends Sunday service at the only LGBTQ church in town. A young man welcomes Reeve at the door, ushering him to a seat in the back. Minutes later, Reeve asks where the restroom is and the young man leads him up to a restroom next to the empty choir loft. As Reeve empties his bladder, they hear gunfire and screams from the congregation below. Surviving the brutal attack, Reeve and Dylan quickly bond as they are repeatedly tested.
