Publisher's Synopsis
Since 1994, the University of Osnabrück has offered a modified inpatient treatment method for people insured by accident insurance companies with particularly severe occupational skin diseases as part of Tertiary Individual Prevention (TIP). The work describes the indications, implementation and results of this preventive measure. It could be shown that in the majority of insured persons who are at risk of giving up their professional activity due to an occupational dermatosis, such a measure can ensure that they can remain in their profession. The concept represents an essential step towards modern disease management in occupational dermatology and can serve as a model for functioning care in the area of statutory accident insurance.
