Publisher's Synopsis
Learning to tell the truth in all circumstances is incredibly challenging. It's challenging because in the short term it might lead to negative outcomes. Weighing the costs and benefits between known short-term results and unknown long-term results, sets a person to believe the immediate gratification is best for him or herself. Telling lies may lead to immediate success and comfort, but I advocate that the detrimental effects lying will have on your external relationships (Family, friends and co-workers) as well as your internal relationship (Understanding your authentic self) overtime, cause much more pain and discomfort. Telling the truth is an indelible position that puts a person on surer ground. A person who tells the truth won't be limited by the mental games of trying to understand another person's reaction to facts or perspectives. This person can then focus more attention on what he or she believes to be of importance for his or her life and career. Ultimately, deciding to tell the truth in all circumstances, is not only a change in communication, but also a change in philosophy towards the life one desires. Please enjoy Sophia and Sigmund's story; as they learn the importance of telling the truth!
