The basic textbook for courses in management engineering: the application of the principles of industrial (efficiency) engineering to the art and science of gaining through the efforts of organizations. This work introduces a fully synergistic set of engineered tools for presentation by management engineers, and engineering technicians, to a working manager. It addresses efficiency through both the structure and operation of management efforts. Founded on basic industrial engineering, it provides an expansion of that basic study to address management and internal support, starting with management metrics and modeling, and proceeding into general efficiency engineering of structure, and special studies for the efficiency of management processes such as assignment, delegation, and internal investment.
