Publisher's Synopsis
Epic adventure set in Ukraine in the 16th Century. The film begins when Cossack warriors join forces with the Polish army to defeat the invading Turkish legions. However, once the battle is won, the Poles turn against the Cossacks, forcing them into the hills. Cossack leader Taras Bulba (Yul Brynner) now seeks revenge and sends his son Andrei (Tony Curtis) to infiltrate the Polish community, in the hope of taking them down from the inside. However, Bulba's plan is jeopardised when Andrei falls in love with Polish noblewoman Natalia (Christine Kaufmann). As time passes, tensions between Taras and Andrei escalate, with tragic consequences.
