Talking About Culture Intercultural Communication for Learners of English

Originally designed for Japanese learners of English, this textbook has been developed for language learners who want to deepen their cultural understanding and enhance their ability to engage in intercultural communication. Drawing on frameworks developed by renowned scholars Geert Hofstede and Edward T. Hall, this book introduces key cultural concepts in a simplified and accessible way with relevant content for young adult learners.

The exercises in this book not only help students grasp fundamental cultural theories but also encourage them to reflect on their own culture, explain it in English, and compare it with cultures from around the world.
