An allegory of the dismantling of civil war in the north of Ireland which was written in the mid nineties.
The book pre dates the Good Friday agreement but it does run in tandem with the early days of the peace negotiations. The preface of the book is "A framework document for A, E, O, I and U" and it is a serious of linking illustrated short stories involving a protagonist Pixie, his sidekick squirrel friend and a myriad of other wildlife. You may remember at the time the constant political manoeuvring around a 'Framework Document'. The allegory is subtle in places and more obvious in others and during the course of the book, the main character of the book presides over a peace treaty, and the book culminates with all the unconnected and connected characters in this world, stopping everything in awe of the genesis of a new natural setting. There are quite a number of other adventures along the way.
