Publisher's Synopsis
This is the 7th in a series of books about my life as a TCKer - Third Culture Kid. This book, with a focus on the early family years between 1983 and 1990, explores how, when, and where my [then] husband of 10 years finally landed that elusive "lucky break" job. This book chronicles our unexpected immersion into the ex-pat community of independent contractors who work abroad and later into the more formal world of the Diplomatic Community. Our 13 years in four different countries while in this specialized world, was filled with the usual daily problems du jour, as well as a little espionage, war stories, dealings with the Black Market, while trying to maintain as normal a family life as possible through scouting, church, school, and family activities.
