Excerpt from Synopsis Plantarum, Seu Enumeratio Systematica Plantarum Plerumque Adhuc Cognitarum Cum Differentiis Specificis Et Synonymis Selectis Ad Modum Persoonii Elaborata, Vol. 2: Classis V-X
Dem ersten Plane gemàss sollte die Synopsz's plantaram aus einem Bande 100 Bogen stark bestehen; allein es zeigte sich bei Ausarbeitung der zweiten Abtheilung gar bald, dass dieses Buch nicht mit 100 Bogen geschlossen werden konnte es ware denn, dass° eine grosse Menge neuer Pfianzen ganzlich hatten weggelassen werden mussen; oder die Diagnosen hàtten im All gemeinen nur sehr kurz abgefasst werden kìinnen. Um nun beides zu vermeiden, entschloss sich der Autor mit Zustimmung der Verlagshandlung der Vollst'zindigkeit wegen dieser zweiten 'abtheilung eine dritte folgen zu lassen welche langstens bis Schluss des Jahres 1842 complet erscheinen wird.
