Publisher's Synopsis
I was abducted by aliens! Well, maybe not abducted, and they said I could go home whenever I wanted. So, maybe I was on vacation?
When present day, mixed-race High School student, Ryan arrives at an elite European space camp, he is shocked to discover he is on Europa, at a camp run by aliens. He encounters many humorous situations. However, there are many dangerous creatures, and dangerous situations. There are no dragons but a flying dog with two-inch talons gets your attention. Among the many dangerous creatures, the deadliest is Taanna, a teenaged alien, who boasts she could kill him 173 different ways and offers to demonstrate.
The instructors are preparing Earth for the time when Earth can join the galactic community. Meanwhile, they protect Earth from pirates and profiteers who steal whatever they can from primitive barbarians.
The camp teaches him about alien societies and himself. He learns to fight, escape mermaids, fly without wings and how to survive when getting accidently trapped with Taanna in a deadly class V terrarium.
Ryan, who fails at so many things, must learn to never give up. He better learn soon, because he stumbles upon evidence of a spy willing to sell Earth's location. An invasion may be days away. Will the summer be long enough to learn who is the spy, how to rescue earth, and discover if Taanna is really going to kill him?
