Publisher's Synopsis

The Fenian Raid/ Battle of Ridgeway 1866. This story wets your appetite for the history of tempetuous times in American-Canadian history. The Civil war had just ended and many brave but misguided Irish men died in joining rebellious conspiracies against constitutional goverment. Every means was necessary to bring about the emancipation of Ireland from Great Britain. Many of these soldiers were recruited from the brothels of that day, which were the meeting places. This story is a love story with the background of the Fenian Raids. Fenian Raids is a forgotten period of American history where Irish sympathizers were intent on overthrowing British Control of Ireland by Conquering Canada. This was an army established in America invading Canada which both the US & Canada tried to stop. Buffalo was located at the end of the Erie Canal and there was a designated "infected zone" which was made up of many dance halls-brothels.
