Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Suggestions and References for Modern Language Teachers: Report of the Committee to the Modern Language Section of the High School Conference, November 19-21, 1914
The present report is an outgrowth of the idea of having at the University of Illinois an Information Bureau for Modern Language Teachers in the state. This idea came up at the High School Conference of 1913 and met with a favorable reception. As the university member of the Modern Language Committee of the Conference I therefore began to gather mate rial for the enquiries that might reasonably be expected to come in. This material came from several sources, especially, as far as the German side of the report is concerned, from Miss Augusta Krieger of Highland Park. I have also received valuable help from Professor John D. Fitz-gerald and Dr. A. R. Seymour for items pertaining to Spanish. I wish also to thank Professor N. C. Brooks, Dr. C. A. Williams, and other members of the German staff for help in the gathering of material for German. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
