Publisher's Synopsis
This book presents a personal viewpoint of the relationship between the occlusive coronary thrombus and acute myocardial infarction based on more than forty years of morphological studies. Most contributions published so far look at only one aspect of ischemic heart disease generally investigated by one method. They ignore the interrelations of all variables which play a role. By contrast, this volume takes a "new" approach and stimulates a critical revision of current thought while suggesting new theoretical avenues of approach.
