Publisher's Synopsis

This book deals with the binding of 99mTc-MDP to the bone binding protein (BBP). The specificity of 99mTc-MDP binding to the (BBP) was examined, the results show that the non specific binding was 8-12% of the total binding. The effect of mono and divalent chloride salts were also examined. The optimum pH for the binding was 7.4, the most suitable amounts of MDP concentration to give maximum binding was 2.8x10-6m. the association constant Ka and maximum binding capacities Bmax of 99mTc-MDP to its binding sites was determined from scatchard plots. The results revealed that Ka and Bmax values were temperature dependent.
