Excerpt from Studies in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology in Honor of A. W. Crompton
Etymology. The generic name is from the Lumku Mission, near which the spec imen was found. The species name is in honor of A. W. Fuzz Crompton, in rec ognition of his distinguished career as a student of cynodonts and early mammals.
Holotype. Bp/1/2669, partial skeleton, including skull with lower jaws; left sca pulocoracoid and clavicle, interclavicle, and proximal part of right clavicle; most of left forelimb; and two articulated segments of the axial skeleton; the latter consist of 10 dorsal vertebrae with associated ribs and eight caudal vertebrae.
