A fabulous piece, filled with High German Romanticism, was composed in 1942 by the famed Late Romantic master in his inimitable style. This deluxe edition includes the official Boosey & Hawkes music-book containing solo horn part as well as a separate piano reduction of the orchestral score; and a compact disc containing a complete version with soloist, recorded in digital stereo, followed by a second version in full stereo of the orchestral accompaniment, minus the soloist; and a second -20% slow-tempo version of the accompaniment for practice purposes.
