Publisher's Synopsis
Issued by the Secretary of State for the Environment, this text has two main purposes. Principally to give London Planning Authorities formal guidance on the review of their Unitary Development Plans (UDPs). Additionally, the document also sets land use planning issues in a broader context, identifying important developments which boroughs will wish to take into account in framing their UDPs. The guidance highlights ways in which UDPs can contribute to promoting competitiveness and regeneration, stimulating economic activity and protecting the environment.
