This anthology celebrates my humble beginnings as a writer and poet. In hindsight, I would love to edit these pieces, but being honest about my development as an author would matter more to you than writing a book about writing. The harsh reality of my life, failing to start a sucessful company four times, losing my mum before I made my first million, and never making it to law school despite six years of trial have prompted my return to the pen. As I put these works together, I am grateful that I have something to share with you, thoughts and poems that have acquired their own life since 2012. Lastly, I wanted to shove my pride aside and take on a refreshed stubbornness as a beginner again. I hope that you will find in this book an invitation to share your voice. It reminds us that every writer starts somewhere and that being "amateurish" is the first step toward mastery. This is a companion for once-upon-a-time writers, amateur poets, and inspiring authors.
