Publisher's Synopsis

The fourth of a five-book course covering the requirements of Key Stages 3 and 4 of the National Curriculum and GCSE in mathematics. The course has been designed for pupils of previously limited attainment in the subject. The Pupils' book is accompanied by a Teachers' resource book. Each topic is introduced via discussion and development is on a controlled gradient through core and consolidation at GCSE foundation level and extension to intermediate level. Regular assessment and reinforcement is incorporated throughout the course, and each chapter provides a thorough revision of the key points from earlier books. The introductory questions complete coverage of Key Stage 4 of the National Curriculum, levels 3 to 8, are provided by SUM 4 and SUM 5, even if pupils have used a different course for Key Stage 3.
